Karmyn e-hosted our Flat Peanut in Oregon and sent us lots of great photos and information about her region. She also sent a colorful postcard of the state. Great for picking out points of interest. Flat Peanut was quickly dressed in OSU colors and was taught to say, "Go Beavers!" He rode in Grandpa's boat, helped the children catch chickens (before the chickens caught him - yummy), and attended a party. My personal favorite was that he was able to play Princess with Buttercup - something he'll never get to do in our home. Thanks, Karmyn and family. He enjoyed his stay immensely!

Pamela e-hosted him too but in Washington state. Pamela took him to the Walla Walla River Delta, a birding hotspot, left him home alone where he sneaked out of the house, climbed a bird feeder and was scared by a squirrel, to a winery, something called a Gorge (or did that happen at the winery), and her grandkids! The best part was getting to see her grandkids coming and going. She stayed extra busy!
Pete and RePete really enjoyed looking at all the photos they were sent and listened raptly as I read the emails and letters. Well, RePete zoned out, but hey, he's five!

Yeah! We were so happy to have Flat Peanut stay with us. My two were very intrigued about the whole project. (I hope their school does something similar).
I'm sure Flat Peanut was glad to get away from here. He ended up under a pile of books one day and was especially flat that day.
(:
OSU colors! Oh, my! Are you guys all Okies?? My father-in-law is an OSU Cowboy, and we go back to OK frequently to visit family. We're about to buy some property in OK, too.
